Lake Taupo

Horizontal Dotted Line
Lake Taupo exploded into existence in 186AD with an enormous volcanic eruption. Lake Taupo formed in the crater that remained, creating the largest freshwater lake in Australasia. Taupo is surrounded by the legendary volcanoes of the Tongariro World Heritage Park and native bush-covered ranges, with rivers that are known worldwide for producing feisty trophy rainbow and brown trout. We’ve put together a selection of activities available in Lake Taupo, for your information. If you have any queries or would like to make a reservation, please enquire at Lake Taupo TOP 10 Holiday Resort reception.
